Well well. Not so bad after all… F1 drivers will have to get used to a new security feature on their cars starting this 2018 season.
The device is called the “halo” device and is meant to protect drivers from large objects that may hit their cars at head level. It will also help protect the driver’s head if their car ever flips over.
There’s been a lot of talk around how this will affect the vision of the drivers and also the aesthetics of the cars.
